As mentioned in my Glass Biography, I like to look at glass as a limitless world. Several years ago, when I began remodeling The Blue Lagoon, the opportunity was presented to truly explore new ways of incorporating glass into modern design. One of the first ideas to leap into my mind was these, Floating Propagation Stations. Or as I like to call them Floating Islands. 

     

    Inspired by the Hallelujah Mountains in the movie Avatar, I've experimented with a variety of shapes and sizes within this ascetic, each of which instantly creates an experience the moment you enter a space. I like my art to be exciting, refreshing and unexpected, these are all those things and more. A functional feature to highlight would be the flexibility these offer to those seeking an alternative to traditional house plants within their home. Be it living philodendrons, or dried flowers, the opportunity to customize these to your own personal taste has no boundaries. It goes without saying that these are unique, original and stunning in any presentation.

     

     Floating Islands come in several convenient premade sizes, but it should also be highlighted that they are also available for custom order as to accommodate any creative concept. I dream of making these in extreme scale and look forward to hearing your ideas.
