Sherlocks
A timeless classic, Sherlocks are perhaps the most popular & recognizable style of pipe associated with the modern boro movement. Of course, as with all things, I had to do it my way. This abstract interpretation is sure to stand out at your next tasting or pairing. This is what smoking looks like in 2120.
One Tribe
I think for every glassblower there's a creation that get's stuck in their head before they ever even touch a torch. For me, that seed of imagination was The One Tribe. This idea lived in my head for years & bringing it to fruition was bucket list material. See below for more information about this groundbreaking project.
Yoga Frogs
I've practiced yoga for nearly 15 years. It's a cornerstone of my personal wellness program. This line is dedicated to my love of fitness, movement, and the ongoing conversation we must all have in regards to self care. Plus, frogs are awesome. (*You'll come to find I have an affection for all jungle critters & creatures.)
Solar System & Travelers
Hand pipes date back to nearly the dawn of mankind. For some it's a form of prayer, a way to send a messages to the Ancestors & Spirits. For others it's a tool to medicate and regulate countless different conditions. From Recreational to Religious this is an intricate part of our cultural history, past & present.
The One Tribe Music Video
Nearly 50 individually crafted glass sculptures. 6 meticulously hand made sets. Over 2600 individual photographs. If nothing else, the time & commitment made to the One Tribe project is unmatched in my artistic resume. I made this project overt the corse of 2 years while caretaking for my Father with dementia. It was my way to escape to an imaginary world while mine crumbled around me. It was a longstanding dream to attempt this very ambitious undertaking & the execution was unbelievably difficult. Truthfully I go back & forth between thinking the final result is complete genius, or a total failure. Either way, I'm glad I shot my shot. And maybe, just maybe, someday I'll be crazy enough to try something like this again.
